Funeral service for Matthew Jeffrey Clemons, age 24, of Decatur, will be Friday, December 22, 2017, 2:00 p.m. at Fairview Baptist Church with Rev. Aaron Coffey officiating.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 21, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the church, and from Noon until 1:45 p.m. prior to service at the church.  Interment will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Clemons, who died Sunday, December 17, 2017, in Decatur, was born December 23, 1992, in Memphis, TN to Jeffrey K. Clemons and Mary Ellen Farrell Clemons.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Anne Matthews Clemons of Decatur; one son, Asa Matthew Clemons of Decatur; his parents, Jeff and Mary Ellen Clemons of Memphis, TN; Carol Anne's parents, Tim and Cynde Matthews of Decatur; one brother, Benjamin Clemons of Memphis, TN; two sisters, Elizabeth Clemons and Rebecca Clemons, both of Memphis, TN; grandparents, Richard and Helen Farrell of Vineland, NJ, and Ralph and Anne Matthews of Decatur; and several uncles, aunts, nephews, and nieces.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Benevolence Fund at Fairview Baptist Church.
