In Loving Memory of Kristoffer Cody Hill January 27, 1986 – January 24, 2025 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kristoffer Cody Hill, who left us far too soon at the age of thirty-eight on January 24, 2025. He was born on January 27, 1986 to Wilma Spence and Greg Spence. Funeral services for Kristoffer Cody Hill, age 38 of Decatur, will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at 1:00 PM from the Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Steve Bateman and Reverend Jess Montegudo officiating. Interment will follow in the Decatur City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:00 noon until the time of service. Cody was a vibrant soul who found joy in the simple and profound pleasures of life. His love for music, concerts, movies, books, and photography was matched only by his curiosity for exploring the latest advancements in technology. As a curious learner, he spent time researching family history, ensuring that the stories of the past were preserved for future generations. Those who knew Cody will remember his sharp wit and comedic personality. He had an unmatched ability to brighten any room with his kind heart and make those around him feel at ease. When thinking of Cody, simply take a moment to enjoy music, a great film, or a heartfelt laugh in his memory. Cody’s favorite singers included: Cher, Alan Jackson, Elvis, Kansas, and anything 90’s country. His collection of movies and favorite shows was endless. He will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. “Carry On” Cody. Cody is preceded in death by his parents, Greg and Wilma Spence; grandparents, Robert Hill and Joyce Hill. He is survived by his brother, Nick Spence (Nikki, Silas, Izabella) grandparents, George and Dot Stovall; extended family, Sheila Gilespie, Sherman Hill, Stephanie Reeves; along with many other aunts, uncles, cousins, loving family and friends. Pallbearers will be Sherman Hill, Jeff Hill, Kenny Gillespie, Justin Gillespie, Jason Gillespie, Tyler Gillespie, and Hunter Reeves. The family has kindly requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital in memory of Cody.
