Funeral service for Annette Elaine Duffey Case, age 84, of Huntsville (formerly of Decatur), will be Tuesday, July 2, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Dye officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 1, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Case, who died Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at home surrounded by family, was born June 24, 1935, in Lawrence County, to Lawrence Calvin Duffey and Hester Standridge Duffey. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Fred Case; her parents; and three brothers, Wayne, Norman, and Gene Duffey.
She is survived by three sons, Bob Case (Cindy) of Huntsville, Scott Case (Dara) of Lexington Park, MD, and Jim Case of Bremerton, WA; one brother, Billy Duffey (Juanita) of Trinity; one sister, Dot Goodwin of Trinity; sister-in-law, Gail Duffey of Scottsboro; 16 grandchildren, Brian Case, Cooper Case, Brandon Case, Jeremy Case, Evelyn Case, Shelby Case, Morgan Knight, Gretchen Sunga, Kayla Case, Stefano Case, Jonah Case, Lily Case, Angelica Case, Donovan Case, Landon Case, and Hudson Case; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Brian Case, Cooper Case, Brandon Case, Jeremy Case, Jason Duffey, and Jeff Duffey.
