Funeral service for Eloise Waldrep Logan, age 99, of Decatur, will be Friday, March 30, 2018, 2:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Mark Turner and Chris Pressnell officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service. Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Logan, who died Wedneday, March 28, at her residence, was born December 6, 1918, in Lawrence County, to Emmett Waldrep and Cora Rylant Waldrep. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Logan, son, Andy Waldrep, and her parents. She was a faithful member of Flint Church of Christ for 68 years.
She is survived by one son, Don Logan of Birmingham; one daughter, Joan Turner of Decatur; eight grandchildren, Cathy Tanner of Decatur, Mark Turner of Dothan, Jeff Logan of Birmingham, Stan Logan of Atlanta, GA, Misty Haskins of Hartselle, Chris Waldrep of Decatur, Brent Waldrep of Moody, and Andrea Whitaker of Decatur; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons, Jeff Logan, Stan Logan, Chris Waldrep, Brent Waldrep, Chase Summerford, Alex Summerford, and Logan Turner.
The family would like to express their special thanks to her caregiver friends, Misty Robinson and Kathy Wilson, for their kind and compassionate care.
