George Neil Graves

February 17, 1939 - July 23, 2017

Mr. George Neil Graves, age 78, of Trinity, died Sunday July 23, 2017. Funeral service will be Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at Courtland Baptist Church with Rev. Scotty Letson officiating and Shelton Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be at East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. He was born, February 17, 1939, to G. W. McCoy Graves and Vera Fowler Graves.  He  was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Frank Graves and Joe Graves. Mr. Graves was a U. S. Army veteran. He is survived by three sons, Richard Graves (Linda), David Graves (Michele), and Clifford Graves; one daughter, Dianne Letson (Scotty); one brother, Moody Graves; ten grandchildren, Anna Graves, Bart Graves, Rachel Wendling, Rebekah Brewer, Leslie Kerby, Cody Graves, Shanna Bryant, Lindsey Bryant, Justin Rutherford, and Heath Rutherford; and eight great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Bart Graves, Cody Graves, Justin Rutherford, Heath Rutherford, George Wendling, Adam Brewer,  Brandon Kerby, Caleb Wendling, and Joshua Wendling.
