James Stephen "Moose" Hamilton

April 4, 1958 - August 10, 2021

Funeral service for Steve "Moose" Hamilton, age 63, of Decatur, will be Saturday, August 14, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will receive friends for two hours prior to service at the funeral home.  Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Mr. Hamilton, who died Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at NHC Healthcare, was born April 4, 1958, in Decatur, to Richard Sim Hamilton, Sr. and Dorothy Louise White Hamilton.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  He was employed by Waters Brothers Trucking in Decatur for 20 years.  Moose enjoyed University of Alabama sports and playing Bingo with friends.     He is survived by two brothers, Richard S. "Sim" Hamilton, Jr. of Decatur, and Roy Hamilton (Penny) of Prattville; two sisters, Karen Hamilton and Regina McCreery, both of Decatur; a host of nephews and nieces. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
