Memorial mass for Mr. Jose Alanis, age 77, of Decatur, will be Wednesday, October 4, 2017, 2:00 p.m., at Annunciation of the Lord Catholic Church with Deacon Javier Ramirez officiating.   Shelton Funeral Home is assisting the family. Mr. Alanis, who died Saturday, September 23, 2017, at his residence, was born September 27, 1939, in Monterrey, Mexico to Isidro Alanis and Dolores Dias Alanis.  He was employed by General Electric. He is survived by his loving wife, Crisanta Hinojosa Alanis of Decatur; two daughters, Diana Kritinar (William) of Decatur, and Dolores Beadle (Nathan) of Decatur; four brothers, Eleuterio Alanis of Houston, TX, Jose Luis Alanis of Mexico, Fernando Alanis of Mexico, and Leopoldo Alanis of Mexico; three sisters, Manuela A. De Montemayor of Mexico, Flerida A. De Monsivais of Mexico, and Andrea Alanis of Mexico; and two grandchildren, Tristan Beadle and Kolton Kritinar, both of Decatur.
