Patti Lee "Pat" Pentecost

April 14, 1942 - December 22, 2021

Graveside service for Pat Pentecost, age 79, of Decatur, will be Monday, December 27, 2021, 12:00 p.m., at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery (across from 1324 Pisgah Road, S.E., Decatur, AL 35603 in the Flint Community) with Bro. Drake Whitten officiating and Shelton Funeral Home directing.    Mrs. Pentecost, who died Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at her residence, was born April 14, 1942, in Madison County, to Lee David Wilson and Mary Elna Barnett Wilson. She was preceded in death by her son, Phillip Sandlin, husband, Robert Lee Pentecost, parents, and granddaughter, Shelby Whisenant.  Mrs. Pentecost was a physical therapist. She is survived by one son, Donnie Sandlin (Vicki) of Decatur; daughter-in-law, Doris Christine Sandlin of Decatur; one brother, Mike Wilson of Montgomery; two sisters, Elsie Monarrez (Jessie) of Athens, and Mary Ann Chaney of Russellville; five grandchildren, Ashley Peebles, Anthony Peebles, Jonathan Sandlin, Taylor Whitten, and Johnna Holt; and seven great-grandchildren, Dakota, Aurora, Hannah, Hudson, Addison, Georgia, and Brian.   Pallbearers will be family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial donations be made to Parkview Baptist Church (305 Beltline Place, S.W., Decatur, AL 35603) or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105).
