Memorial service for Ronnie Franklin Benfield, age 62, of Decatur, will be Wednesday, September 12, 2018, 3:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service. Mr. Benfield, who died Saturday, September 8, 2018, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born September 8, 1956, in Statesville, NC to Franklin Andy Benfield and Margie Sheets Benfield. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Drane Benfield, of Decatur; one son, Matthew Benfield of Lawrence County; one daughter, Rachel Benfield of Decatur; one sister, Tammy Arrington (Jim) of Cullman; and grandson, Kaleb Hightower of Decatur.
