Ruth Eloise Byrd

March 23, 1941 - September 18, 2021

Funeral service for Ruth Eloise Linderman Byrd, age 80, of Danville, will be Wednesday, September 22, 2021, 1:30 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Skylar Linderman officiating.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. prior to service at the funeral home.  Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Mrs. Byrd, who died Saturday, September 18, 2021, at her residence, was born March 23, 1941, in Decatur, to Millard Cecil Linderman and Annie Rhodes Linderman.  She was preceded in death by her son, Trian Buckelew, her parents, and four siblings, Ray Linderman, Jackie Linderman, Emmons Linderman, and June Collins. Known as Nanner to her grands and great-grands, she had a sense of humor with a laugh that was contagious.  She loved her family and friends fiercely and she was always there for them when they needed her.  Eloise loved to cook and was known to have the best creamed potatoes and banana pudding around.  Jesus was most important in her life and her family finds comfort knowing she is in the arms of our Heavenly Father and many other loved ones who passed on before.  She is survived by her loving husband, Roy Byrd of Danville; two sons, Terry M. Buckelew (Vicky) of Canyon, TX and Todd M. Buckelew (Vicki) of Danville; one daughter, Heather R. Baker (Ronald) of Hartselle; stepdaughter, Amy Francis (J.D.) of Mobile; one brother, Dr. Sammy Linderman (Sabrina) of Huntsville; eight grandchildren, Peyton Jordan (Caleb) of Hazel Green, Miles Buckelew (Kristina), Jacob Buckelew, Ellie Buckelew, and Allie Buckelew, all of Danville, Isaac Baxter of Okinawa, Japan (U. S. Air Force), and Justyn Baxter and Hannah Baxter, both of Hartselle; and two great-grandchildren, Evie Jordan and Deacon Jordan, both of Hazel Green.  Pallbearers will be Justyn Baxter, Miles Buckelew, Jacob Buckelew, Sammy Linderman, Jr., Kevin Linderman, and Caleb Jordan
